Improving your fitness is one of the most popular New Year’s resolutions out there. And if you’re looking to stick to a consistent routine in 2024, you may want to invest in a fitness tracker. They’re an excellent and easy way to measure your progress and stay on track to hit your goals, and right now, there are plenty of top-rated Fitbit trackers that you can pick up for less.

Fitbit smartwatches and fitness trackers are capable of more than just tracking your steps and activity. They can also keep up with your sleep patterns, stress levels and heart health. This trendy, comfortable and useful tool is a great move for people interested in getting in shape and monitoring their fitness journey through 2024 and beyond.

If you’re already sold on getting a Fitbit but aren’t sure which one’s right for you, we’ve got all the information you need. Read our deep dive on our favorite Fitbit models. It’s also worth noting that Google’s Pixel Watch 2 includes many of Fitbit’s best activity-tracking features (it’s pricier, though). Still, if you’re interested, check out our list of Pixel Watch deals.

Best Fitbit deals available right now Fitbig/CNET With a sleek design and advanced features like a built-in ECG, the Fitbit Charge 6 is our overall favorite fitness tracker on the market right now. It has a vibrant AMOLED display and a built-in GPS with Google Maps so you can get turn-by-turn navigation on your runs and rides. Plus, it boasts an impressive battery life that averaged around five days of use during our tests.

Fitbit With tools to monitor heart health, stress management and even skin temperature, this is a bit like having a medical assistant around your wrist at all times (though of course it’s no substitute for your regular doctor). This is the second generation of Fitbit’s health-focused smartwatch, and the updated interface and the return of the physical navigation button make this wearable particularly appealing — especially at this price. Besides keeping a close eye on atrial fibrillation (heart rate irregularities), this Fitbit includes a cEDA sensor that detects electrodermal activity, which often correlates to your body’s response to stress. You can also see your nightly blood oxygen levels at a glance.

It still has all the great features the first-gen Sense offered, like built-in GPS for hikes, biking and driving. The watch also has Amazon Alexa built in for news updates, bedtime reminders and alarms, and it can control smart home devices too. The smartwatch comes with a variety of clock face options. One battery charge lasts six full days, and a full day’s charge takes only 12 minutes.

Fitbit Released late last year, the Versa 4 is one of the newest Fitbits you’ll find on this list. Slight changes on this new model include a slimmer design and a return of the physical side button that makes navigation easier. The Versa 4 also adds tracking for about 20 new specific workouts and exercises, so you can get even more detailed health info. Otherwise, it has all the same sensors and metrics as the Versa 3, which include heart rate, active zone minutes during workouts, blood oxygen levels, sleep monitoring and a built-in GPS for tracking your distance and pace on runs.

Lexy Savvides/CNET Fitbit’s sleek and simple Inspire trackers put an emphasis on keeping you moving. Track the day’s activities and progress toward goals for total steps, movement and calories burned. The Inspire also has 24/7 heart-rate tracking to calculate resting versus active rates. It even tracks your light, deep and REM sleep to give you a sleep score and improve on nightly habits. And the Inspire 3 goes 10 days on a single charge, earning it a spot on our list of the best fitness trackers for 2023.

Fitbit/CNET Fitness trackers generally aren’t the nicest-looking devices on the market, but the Fitbit Luxe does a pretty good job of breaking that mold. The overall design is slimmer, with rounded edges, nicely colored bezels and unique bands that can be paired with it to make the fitness tracker look like a piece of jewelry.

When it comes to fitness tracking, the Luxe is no slouch. It offers sleep tracking, heart-rate monitoring and stress management. It gives you up to five days of battery life per charge.

Lexy Savvides/CNET Like many of the other models on this list, the original Fitbit Sense isn’t the most recent model in its series. But the Sense lineup is Fitbit’s most advanced line of fitness trackers, and this previous-gen model still has a ton to offer. It’s designed to monitor tons of health metrics, including your heart rate, stress level, sleep patterns and blood-oxygen levels. It even has a built-in ECG function. Plus, it has plenty of convenient smartwatch features, including a GPS, a built-in microphone for voice calls, and an impressive six-day battery life.

Though it’s now a generation old, the Fitbit Charge 5 is still a decent option for those who want an all-around fitness tracker. It’s designed for people who want to fine-tune their workouts, and it measures your heart rate, blood-oxygen level, skin temperature and more. It also has a built-in GPS so you can check your speed and distance on runs, and it even has an ECG function so you can monitor your heart health. But considering that you can grab the newer Charge 6 for the same price right now, you’re definitely better off upgrading to the newer model or waiting for this previous-gen tracker to drop to a lower price.

Érika García/CNET If you’re looking for a slightly more affordable option, the previous-gen Inspire 2 is still a solid choice you can grab for around $60. With the exception of blood-oxygen tracking, heart rate notifications and an always-on display, it has nearly all the same features as the newer and more expensive Inspire 3.

Fitbit The Fitbit Ace 3 activity tracker is simple to use and designed with kids in mind. It tracks sleep and activity, plus you can set goals for active minutes and reminders for moving and going to bed on time. This device is a great tool to help your child develop healthy habits.
