Blackouts suspended until further notice

JOHANNESBURG – Troubled power supplier Eskom has suspended rolling blackouts until further notice.

It says this is due to improved generating capacity and sufficient emergency reserves.

Stage one power cuts were supposed to kick in from 4PM on Sunday afternoon.

The power utility says it will communicate should any significant changes occur.
