Colombia 2024: 19 Falconets invited as Nigeria battle Burundi for FIFA U20 World Cup ticket

Nigeria have qualifies for every edition of the Mundial and are on course to be a part of the next edition in the South American nation

In preparation for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup final qualifying fixture against Burundi, Nigeria’s U-20 female national team head coach, Chris Musa Danjuma, has unveiled his 19-player roster for the first leg scheduled at Dar es Salaam’s Azam Stadium Complex on Sunday, Soccernet.ng reports.

The announcement came through a statement from Ademola Olajire, the Director of Communications at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), on Monday in Abuja.

Nonjabulo Nonhle Ndlela, a South African official designated by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), will officiate the match as the referee.

Her compatriots, Maneo Evodia Tau and Nandipha Menze, will assume the roles of assistant referees one and two, respectively.

Nteboheleng Theresia Setoko from Lesotho has been appointed as the fourth official.

For Sunday’s encounter, Tanzanian Somoe Robert Ng’itu will serve as commissioner, and Fransiska Katjaimo from Namibia will take on the role of referee assessor at the Azam Stadium Complex.

The return leg is scheduled for January 20 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
