CT police battle to bring turf wars under control
CAPE TOWN – Cape Town police are battling to bring gun violence under control in gang-ridden communities.
They have been deployed to Hanover Park after turf wars erupted between rival gangs.
Officers have vowed to clamp down on the perpetrators driving the gang conflict.
Police say they will continue with these interventions until offenders are behind bars.
Authorities say the 2,600 newly graduated officers in the Western Cape
will assist in efforts to help keep communities safe.
