Erik ten Hag insists there is ‘no news’ on Jadon Sancho as he confirms star duo are in contract extension talks
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has provided an update on Jadon Sancho’s future while confirming three stars have penned new contracts.
The England international has been frozen out of the Dutchman’s squad since he hit out at the 53-year-old on social media in September.

With just three Premier League appearances to his name this season, Sancho knows he must be playing regularly to stand any hope of being named in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad.
talkSPORT understands that former club Borussia Dortmund are keen on a January loan move – almost three years after selling him for £73million.
Speaking in his press conference ahead of United’s FA Cup third round clash away at Wigan on Monday, Ten Hag remained coy on Sancho.
He said of the 23-year-old: “I can’t say anything about that. We have to wait and see how things are going.
“When we have news, we will tell you. I can’t say anything about this subject because there is no news.”
Elsewhere, Ten Hag confirmed that United had triggered one-year options to extend the contracts of Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Hannibal Mejbri.
And he also stated that Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial, who are set to become free agents at the end of the campaign, are in discussions with the Red Devils.
The former Ajax boss remarked: “We are talking with Rapha Varane and with Anthony Martial.

“And we have triggered the options on Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof and Hannibal.”
Asked to comment on Varane and Martial’s situation, Ten Hag added: “I think that is an internal discussion between the club and the player.”
Andy Townsend believes Erik ten Hag’s treatment of Jadon Sancho has ‘gone too far’ and doesn’t agree with winger being ‘banished’
talkSPORT reported last month how French forward Martial will be allowed to depart, with the club to not take up their one-year option.
Meanwhile Varane, who only joined from Real Madrid in 2021, is also free to speak to foreign clubs over a pre-contract agreement.
