Gauteng’s top cops descended on Soshanguve, north of Pretoria, on Saturday evening, following criticism that many areas in the township are so crime-infested that they’ve become no-go areas for e-hailing vehicles and even pizza delivery drivers.
This week, Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi visited the area following the deadly shooting on New Year’s Day that claimed the lives of four people, including a police officer.
