The annual Tweede Nuwe Jaar minstrel carnival took place in Cape Town on Tuesday.
Cape Town residents came out in their numbers to support the iconic Cape Town Minstrel Carnival, historically known as the Kaapse Klopse, on Tuesday.
The event kicked off just after 13:30 from Hanover Street in District Six, with more than 20 000 minstrels taking to the streets.
