Samsung teases Galaxy S24 arrival in latest ad
Samsung finally confirmed it will host the Galaxy Unpacked event for its Galaxy S24 series on January 17 and is now amping up the teaser campaign with a new video ad. The short clip takes a stroll through mobile phone history showing how Samsung phones looked throughout the past four decades.
The journey begins in 1988 with a proper brick phone which brought the novelty of making phone calls without being tethered to a wire. We then skip to 1999 with Samsung’s first TV phone which used the digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) standard to broadcast live television signal. The next stop is in 2011 with the launch of the original Galaxy Note which pioneered the large-screen phone experience.
Samsung devices thoughout the years
We then transition to 2014 with the Galaxy S5 which offered P67 water and dust resistance to the masses and the Galaxy S6 Edge which brought wireless card payments via Samsung Pay. The last device featured on the list is the Galaxy Z Flip which alongside the Z Fold pioneered the push into foldable smartphones. The ad then teases a “new era of mobile” with a silhouette of the S24 Ultra.
