Snl24 | AmaZulu president breaks silence on Mabasa rumours
Moroka Swallows striker Tshegofatso Mabasa has received amazing approval from Steve Komphela.
AmaZulu FC president Sandile Zungu has broken his silence on the rumors linking his club with striker Tshegofatso Mabasa.
The 27-year-old striker has scored six times in 13 league games while on loan at Moroka Swallows, and lack of funds at the club might force him to make a premature return to parent club Orlando Pirates.
For reasons he could not divulge, Zungu says his the KwaZulu-Natal outfit are out of the race for the striker’s signature.

“There’s a couple of names that we are considering, both locally and foreign, we are looking at one local and one foreign player,” Zungu tells KickOff.
“As for Mabasa, it’s unlikely we will sign him, yes he is a good player and excellent and has a great attitude.
“But for reasons I can’t say, it’s unlikely we will sign him.”
Zungu says he is happy with the way his charges have performed so far in the first round of the DStv Premiership this campaign.
“I’m very happy with my players you know, and it’s a January transfer window, so you can’t add too many players,” he continued.
“I think most of the players that we have signed have risen to the challenge.
“Of course, not all of them will rise to the challenge, but some players have done their best and risen to the challenge.”
Pablo Franco Martin’s charges find themselves in seventh position on the log after 16 matches played.
