Proteas stand-in captain Dean Elgar made it clear that playing and winning Test matches remains his idea of a World Cup, as his storied 12-year Test career reaches its conclusion when the second Test against India starts at Newlands on Wednesday.
Elgar will retire from Test cricket at the end of this game having never played at a limited overs World Cup, with his eight ODIs being spread over six years of nondescript bi-lateral engagements.
